Window Cleaning Season Is Back in Mendota Heights

Window Cleaning Season Is Back in Mendota Heights image

We're back at it. Spring window cleaning season is officially underway, and this multi-story home in Mendota Heights is exactly the kind of work we love showing up for.

This house has a lot going on - arched windows, floor-to-ceiling glass panels, upper-level dormers, and balconies at different heights. That's not a DIY weekend job. Getting these windows clean the right way takes ladders, the right technique, and experience working on homes where one wrong step costs you more than a squeegee.

A lot of homeowners don't realize how much grime builds up on exterior glass over a Minnesota winter. Salt spray, road dust, freeze-thaw cycles - it all leaves a film that dulls the light coming into your home. You notice it most on bright spring days when the sun hits at an angle and every streak shows.

We work through each section of the house methodically. Upper windows first, then working our way down so nothing gets re-dirtied from runoff. It sounds simple, but skipping that order is how you end up doing twice the work.

If you've got a home with a lot of glass - especially anything with hard-to-reach windows - this is the kind of job worth handing off. We've been doing this long enough to know what works and what doesn't.
